• Provide telepharmacy services to multiple hospital clients across various states • Perform remote order entry, order verification, drug verification, and patient/staff counseling • Support multiple clients using various pharmacy information systems • Provide clinical pharmacy services in accordance with client-specific and Cigna policies • Deliver drug information and therapeutic recommendations, including dosing adjustments, interactions, compatibilities, and infusion guidance • Maintain working knowledge of IV fluids, TPN, narcotic/cardiac drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and related therapies • Address medication considerations for pediatric, geriatric, pregnant/nursing, renal/hepatic impairment, and HIV populations • Counsel patients, nurses, and medical staff on safe medication use • Investigate and resolve medication variances within 48 hours • Learn and work in multiple hospital pharmacy systems • Document orders, interventions, and recommendations by end of shift • Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal policies • Troubleshoot system or connectivity issues • Work with VPNs, PIS platforms, automation systems, Microsoft Office, Snagit, and other common software • Participate in ongoing clinical, system, and policy training • Achieve and maintain company productivity metrics
• B.S. in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred • Active and in good standing pharmacist license in at least 2 of the following states: PA, OH, MA, DE, RI, CT, or ME • At least 2+ years of inpatient hospital experience preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated customer service skills • Knowledge of formulary management and P&T procedures • Familiarity with client/server applications • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Drive, internet, and email • Overnight inpatient hospital experience strongly preferred • Hospital residency preferred but not required • Board certification preferred but not required • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload for home working • Ability to maintain required access credentials, licenses, and reciprocity • Ability to work evenings, overnight, weekends, and on-call shifts • Availability for at least 1–2 shifts every 2 weeks
