📋 Description

• Interpret physicians’ or prescribers’ prescriptions. • Contact doctors, prescribers, and patients to verify prescription information and expedite order processing. • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. • Track order status and outstanding issues. • Consult with patients regarding medication use and potential drug interactions. • Handle customer calls regarding lost orders or dispensing errors. • Maintain daily production, quality, and service levels. • Adjust work priorities and activities to accommodate business needs. • Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians. • Verify and confirm the validity of controlled substances. • Verify prescription information entered by data entry or order entry. • Contact physicians for new or transfer authorization. • Work with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs where possible. • Back up other pharmacists as needed. • Perform additional duties assigned by management. • Train less experienced pharmacists.

🎯 Requirements

• Current resident pharmacist license in good standing • Advanced problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve issues • Good oral and written communication skills • Ability to read and interpret prescriptions • Strong focus on customer service, quality, and accuracy • Ability to manage timelines and meet tight client deadlines • Ability to adapt in a changing environment • Ability to work a flexible schedule during peak volume times • Must reside in Arizona, Florida, Ohio, or Pennsylvania • Must be open to either assigned shift schedule to meet business needs • During the approximate 2–3-month training period, availability Monday through Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm Eastern Time • After training, availability for Monday–Friday 11:00 am–8:00 pm EST or 9:00 am–6:00 pm EST in Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, or 1:00 pm–10:00 pm EST in Arizona • Home internet through a cable broadband or fiber optic provider with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload if working at home
