📋 Description

• Provide specialized sensory-motor, cognitive, communicative, social interaction, and behavioral training to individuals with developmental disabilities • Enable consumers to acquire knowledge and skills and participate as valued community members • Provide training to maintain or increase self-help, socialization, adaptive, and daily living skills • Provide first aid and appropriate attention to injury and illness • Carry out programs identified in the consumer’s ISP and/or routine plan of care • Observe consumer behavior and immediately report potentially dangerous situations • Schedule services and appointments around family preferences and routines • Maintain accurate and timely required documentation • Provide attendant care including personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, dressing, ambulation, transfers, eating, meal preparation, and routine care • Plan, shop for, store, and cook nutritional meals • Ensure consumers receive medications as prescribed • Maintain safe and sanitary living conditions, including cleaning, laundry, dishes, linens, household supplies, and garbage removal • Provide respite supervision and support for consumers’ emotional, physical, and mental well-being • Provide relief to family members or other caregivers • Assist consumers with transportation and daily living activities • Provide safe transportation to and from home and community activities

🎯 Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older • High School Diploma or G.E.D. • Valid Arizona Driver’s License • Reliable means of transportation with current insurance and registration • Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card • Ability to pass criminal, background, and reference checks • Must complete Article Nine Training • Certification in Adult/Child/Infant CPR and First Aid • Ability to work weekends and evenings as required by consumer/family needs • Organizational skills and ability to multitask • Outstanding communication and social skills • Ability to initiate tasks necessary for efficient program operation • Ability to work well under pressure • Problem-solving ability
