📋 Description

• Assist with federal court filings and local counsel responsibilities in Social Security disability appeals • Assist the firm in appearing in the district pro hac vice • Collaborate with firm counsel on filings and procedural requirements in federal district courts • File notices of appearance and other documents consistent with local court rules • Assist with electronic filing of pleadings, motions, briefs, and related filings through CM/ECF • Serve as local counsel in accordance with applicable federal and local rules • Communicate with firm counsel regarding filing requirements and procedural matters • Assist with brief writing at the federal level • Assist in representing clients and preparing appellate briefs in Social Security Disability Appeals at the Federal District Court level, and possibly at the Circuit Court level

🎯 Requirements

• Admission to practice in one or more applicable federal district courts: Alabama (Northern District), California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia (Southern District), Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., Washington State, and Wyoming • Ability to maintain compliance with applicable local court rules and procedures • Familiarity with CM/ECF filing systems preferred • Strong professional communication and responsiveness • Fully admitted to practice law in at least one jurisdiction • Must be a lawyer • Resume and brief cover letter identifying state admissions and applicable federal district court admissions
