📋 Description

• Lead the structuring, drafting, and negotiation of complex insurance distribution arrangements, including agency and aggregator relationships • Advise on inbound, outbound, catastrophe, and opportunistic reinsurance transactions • Structure complex multi-party insurance programs and commercial transactions, including fleet programs, fronting arrangements, deductible structures, collateral arrangements, MGA/program administrator relationships, claims administration, and service agreements • Coordinate suites of interrelated agreements • Help business partners translate novel business models into workable legal and commercial structures • Partner across the organization on strategic and emerging initiatives • Contribute to general commercial contracts, intellectual property, and marketing matters • Participate in Legal department and company process-improvement initiatives • Adopt new tools and approaches to delivering legal services • Support employee resource groups, mentor employees, volunteer, and join cross-functional projects • Fulfill business needs, which may include investing extra time and helping other teams

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school • Bar admission in good standing in the state of residency • 10+ years of experience in a relevant practice area • Substantial knowledge of current law and issues within area of specialty • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an organized, effective, and timely manner • Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner • Strong understanding of legal principles and ability to convert business goals and problems into clear legal structures and solutions • Excellent communication skills • Strong judgment, initiative, ownership, and ability to influence others • Willingness to adopt LLMs and other tools for legal services • Must travel as needed for the role, including divisional/team meetings and other in-person meetings • Must have authorization to work indefinitely in the United States • CSAA does not provide visa sponsorship; applicants must not require immigration support now or in the future
