📋 Description

• Exercise independent judgment and discretion in performing substantive legal work as a licensed attorney • Maintain positive client relationships and strict confidentiality in all client matters • Work independently or under the guidance of senior attorneys, depending on case needs • Supervise or manage attorneys and paralegals within the department as needed • Maintain expertise in assigned subject matter areas • Advise department members on legal developments affecting assigned areas of expertise • Seek opportunities to bring the organization into compliance with applicable laws • Provide timely responses to requests for legal advice • Implement measures to deliver legal services effectively • Cooperate effectively and take leadership roles on Law Department and organizational projects and teams • Relate professionally to people at all organizational levels • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from ABA accredited law school • Five or more years of experience as a practicing attorney, including at least two years specifically in the area of practice • Strong understanding of the operation of a regulated industry • Member in good standing of the Ohio or Florida bar, or ability to become a member of the Ohio or Florida bar within a reasonable period of time • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion to perform legal services • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system • Ability to operate a computer, audiovisual and other office equipment • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information, including delivering training in person and virtually • Compliance with standard precautions and required personal protective equipment
