📋 Description

• Advise on legal issues related to the international business, supporting new market launches and existing operations • Negotiate and draft product partnership, sales, marketing affiliate/partner, advertising, creative, podcast, influencer, SaaS, and vendor agreements • Ensure agreements comply with applicable laws, focusing on global data security and privacy laws • Support privacy compliance in non-US markets, including GDPR and local equivalents • Advise on product/process changes and update related policies and procedures • Advise on marketing, digital services/platform laws, consumer protection, and trade practices requirements • Support health and telehealth regulatory compliance with internal stakeholders and external/local counsel • Support employment and contractor legal matters and draft/update related terms and agreements • Support and optimize privacy operations, including vendor/partnership reviews and privacy ticket triage/reviews such as DSARs • Support litigation matters and regulatory/government inquiries, coordinating with external counsel and internal stakeholders • Independently manage outside counsel and produce legal work products

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a qualified lawyer admitted to practice in at least one jurisdiction, with 1-5 years’ post-qualification experience (or equivalent) • UK or Ireland qualification is preferred, but EU-qualified lawyers are encouraged to apply • Fluency in English • Experience working as a lawyer, preferably in-house, in one or more of France, Germany, Netherlands, Spain or Italy • Fluency in another European language is a plus • Experience advising an international technology business operating across multiple jurisdictions, preferably in-house • Experience in a B2C, online platform/SaaS, and/or healthcare environment • 3+ years of relevant consumer business, online platform and/or health care legal experience • Experience with privacy, regulatory/government inquiries, and marketing/advertising law is highly desirable • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs • Outstanding commerciality and solutions-focused approach • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, growing environment and take ownership of projects and programs • Ability to travel to the San Jose, CA office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite
