📋 Description

• Perform customer installations, upgrades, updates, repairs, and preventative maintenance on a variety of instruments in the assigned territory • Interact professionally with customers to solve technical problems and improve their work • Drive customer satisfaction and achieve annual customer satisfaction targets • Achieve specified revenue targets while satisfying customer needs • Offer and close sales of service contracts and other service products • Act as a trusted advisor by executing qualification and validation service offerings at customer sites • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes • Complete Remote Service Dispatch, Escalation, Field Problem Report, and Field Service Report submissions • Manage spare parts ordering, usage, returns, physical counts, and car stock • Maintain technical competency through training, staff meetings, and staying current on products, markets, customers, and competitors • Manage travel expenses and follow Thermo Fisher Scientific travel policies and guidelines • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Requires a BS degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, or Engineering • Experience in a related science, biomedical engineering, and/or customer-facing role • Effective questioning to identify customer needs • Judgment to set work priorities and identify next steps • Ability to work with minimal oversight • Positive influence on the team • Ability to adapt quickly to change with positive and constructive feedback • Valid driver’s license • Preferred: experience in a clinical, diagnostic, and/or regulated environment such as CAP, CLIA, ISO, or GMP • Preferred: aptitude for learning and understanding IT systems and processes • Preferred: experience with DNA Sequencing, NGS, Real-Time PCR, Cellular Imaging, and/or molecular techniques • Preferred: experience with automation and robotic systems • Frequent travel to customer sites, ranging from 25–75% of work time • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. • Ability to stand for long periods while performing duties • Ability to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials • Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules, including weekend travel
