📋 Description

• Lead and develop the project management group to achieve business objectives • Advise on project management issues and identify development and efficiency opportunities • Liaise with major sponsors' operational personnel • Manage project-related activities internally and with external vendors • Act as Project Manager for key studies when required • Provide backup support to the Associate Director of Project Management • Guide project strategy, resolve escalations, and improve processes, scalability, and efficiency • Manage, motivate, recruit, train, develop, and assess project management staff • Write, evaluate, amend, deploy, review, revise, and implement procedures and SOPs in global alignment • Monitor SOP and key task compliance • Serve as chief liaison between sponsors and PPD internal departments during clinical studies • Control, manage, and delegate day-to-day clinical trial activities • Resolve issues and answer queries • Conduct regular face-to-face client meetings and address client concerns • Manage client- and program-level oversight and relationships across similar studies • Establish and advocate high customer service standards to support client retention and relationship growth • Plan and support team member workflows • Mentor and train team members and coach development and efficiency improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification • 5+ years of comparable experience, or an equivalent relevant combination of education, training, and experience • 1+ year of leadership responsibility • Central lab leadership strongly preferred • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills • Solid Microsoft Office skills for analysis and presentation of data • Critical thinking skills for quality decision-making • Advanced knowledge of project management theories, principles, and best practices relating to lab operations • Strong attention to detail and compliance with procedures and policies • Effective client relationship management skills • Strong supervisory and management skills, with ability to work effectively at all levels • Proficiency in problem-solving and prioritization • Strong analytical and quantitative skills • Ability to multitask and handle pressure • Ability to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people • Ability to work upright and stationary for typical working hours • Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology proficiently • Ability to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities • May require travel
