📋 Description

• Lead and develop project management staff to achieve group objectives • Advise on project management issues and identify areas for development and efficiency • Liaise with major sponsors' operational personnel • Manage project-related activities internally and with external vendors • Act as Project Manager for key studies when required • Support the Associate Director PM as a backup • Guide project strategy and resolve escalations • Identify opportunities to improve processes, scalability, and overall efficiency • Recruit, train, develop, and assess employees' performance • Write, evaluate, amend, and deploy globally aligned procedures and SOPs • Monitor SOP and key task compliance • Serve as chief liaison between sponsors and PPD internal departments during clinical trials • Control, manage, and delegate day-to-day clinical trial activities • Conduct regular face-to-face client meetings and address client concerns and needs • Manage client and/or program-level oversight and relationships • Establish and advocate high customer service standards • Plan and support team workflow • Mentor and train team members and coach development areas and task efficiencies • Author, review, revise, and implement procedural documents

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification • 5+ years of comparable experience, or equivalent relevant combination of education, training, and experience • 1+ year of leadership responsibility • Central lab leadership strongly preferred • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills • Solid Microsoft Office skills for analysis and presentation of data • Critical thinking skills for quality decision-making • Advanced knowledge of project management theories, principles, and best practices relating to lab operations • Strong attention to detail and compliance with procedures and policies • Effective client relationship management skills • Strong supervisory and management skills • Proficient in problem solving and prioritizing • Strong analytical and quantitative skills • Ability to multitask and handle pressure • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, including drug screening • Able to communicate, receive, and understand information and ideas with diverse groups of people • Able to work upright and stationary for typical working hours • Ability to use and learn standard office equipment and technology proficiently • Able to perform successfully under pressure while prioritizing and handling multiple projects or activities • May require travel
