• Teach AMC 8 math classes in a clear, engaging, and student-centered way • Deliver competition-focused lessons using Think Academy's curriculum, lesson materials, and instructional guidance • Support students in building problem-solving skills, mathematical thinking, and competition confidence • Introduce creative and challenging math topics beyond standard curriculum (combinatorics, number theory, geometry, logic) • Manage a virtual or in-person classroom and create a positive learning environment • Grade homework and provide timely academic feedback • Communicate professionally with students and parents about progress, performance, and competition goals • Participate in teacher training, lesson preparation, and ongoing professional development • Work approximately 30–40 hours per week, with most classes scheduled during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
• Bachelor's degree completed or in progress • Strong math foundation, particularly in competition math topics • Personal experience with AMC 8, AMC 10/12, or other math competitions is a plus • Passion for making competition math accessible and exciting for middle school students • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Able to commit at least one semester with fixed teaching schedule (Fall semester ends in Dec. 2026) • Available to work during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends • Experience in tutoring, mentoring, coaching, camp teaching, or working with K–8 students is a plus • Available to attend a 5-day on-site training (paid) in San Jose, CA as part of onboarding
