📋 Description

• Own the Business Intelligence function end to end, including the team, roadmap, and quality bar • Own reporting data models across the business and build shared models that accurately reflect products and processes • Make metadata part of the product through AI- and human-readable descriptions for every model and metric • Maintain a trusted library of key metrics and reference SQL implementations • Provide the company with consistent, accurate models and definitions • Prioritize a long and shifting list of stakeholder requests and determine what requires attention • Review BI work and maintain technical and quality standards • Grow the team’s technical bar and business fluency • Develop and align the team around high-value modeling and metadata priorities • Report to the Head of Business Acceleration • Travel to Asia 3–4 times per year and attend twice-yearly company onsites

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data modeling, analytics engineering, or business intelligence • 3+ years of direct people-management experience • Experience leading analysts or analytics engineers and owning their output and quality bar • Expert-level SQL • Fluency with AI coding tools • Hands-on depth in data modeling, dbt, and a modern data warehouse • Ability to read and review dbt work from highly competent BI Developers • Knowledge of dimensional modeling and semantic layers • Ability to build accurate reporting models that hold up over time • Experience partnering with business stakeholders to build shared reporting data models • Experience prioritizing competing, shifting demands from multiple stakeholders • Experience owning metric definitions, metadata, or a shared metric library • Experience developing talent while maintaining speed and correctness • Ability to hold quality standards through code review rather than writing the work personally
