📋 Description

• Own ingestion, transformation, and exchange of data between school systems and the Timely application • Oversee accuracy, security, and scalability of customer data pipelines • Collaborate with customer success, SIS representatives, and district IT staff to design, plan, and execute integration workflows • Develop and maintain data integration best practices, documentation, and institutional knowledge • Implement process improvements and automation • Build and test lightweight scripts and tools, including Python scripts with Claude Code, in partnership with engineering • Lead discovery for integrations with new SISs and build relationships with customers and potential SIS partners • Contribute product, technology, process, and organizational improvements to scale the data integrations function • Onboard new team members and continuously improve integration processes

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise with at least one Student Information System, preferably PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward, Aeries, Frontline, Focus, Synergy, eSchoolPlus, Alma, or Aspen • Proven experience in data integration in K12 education, school or district data administration, data analysis, or data engineering • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets, SQL, REST APIs, and SIS import/export and reporting tools • Experience moving data between systems through SIS imports and exports, ETL pipelines, or API-based integrations • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a customer-centric approach • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote startup environment • Demonstrated ability leading technical conversations with a wide range of stakeholders • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to establish new processes • Hands-on experience loading and manipulating student and teacher scheduling data into a SIS strongly preferred • Willingness to learn command-line tools and Claude Code for building and testing Python scripts; prior software engineering experience helpful but not required • Familiarity with REST APIs and basic scripting for API-based data pulls • Understanding of SIS data structures including students, courses, enrollments, sections, staffing, and rooms • Ability to work in the United States; application asks whether sponsorship for U.S. work authorization will be required
