📋 Description

• Manage day-to-day operations of Tiny Health's bioinformatics pipeline • Track samples from data delivery through final release of results • Monitor a cloud-based bioinformatics pipeline for failures • Perform standardized batch-level quality control analyses • Generate datasets and perform short analyses for science and clinical research teams • Work with customer support to resolve customer-impacting issues • Collaborate with scientists, bioinformaticians, and external partners to advance research objectives • Maintain accurate records and documentation • Report directly to the Bioinformatics Engineer and work closely with the broader science team

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent experience in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Microbiology, or a related field • Experience with bioinformatics pipelines • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and R • Experience with AI tools • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment • Preferred: experience with microbiome, microbial ecology, or human metagenomics datasets • Preferred: experience in the biotech industry, especially startups • Preferred: experience with shotgun metagenomic bioinformatics workflows • Preferred: experience with SQL or other databases • Preferred: experience with AWS or other cloud platforms • Preferred: previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment • Preferred: work experience in DTC health/wellness companies • Preferred: experience working remotely, with proficiency in Slack • Preferred: self-directed, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity
