📋 Description

• Provide oversight of risk activities, specializing in business insurance • Coordinate insurance coverage, risk financing, claims, and initiatives to decrease insurance-related risk and cost • Partner with the VP of Risk and Compliance and Risk Management team to manage risk program priorities • Manage specialty risk/business insurance activities with internal and external partners, including brokers and carriers • Coordinate insurance coverage needs to limit organizational exposure, cost, and mitigation programs • Partner with the Workers’ Compensation risk manager to manage claims risk, exposure, and care programs • Partner with counsel on settlements and Maximum Medical Improvement recommendations • Complete annual business insurance applications during the renewal cycle with the VP of Risk and broker • Identify organizational trends using internal and external software and broker/carrier programs • Analyze loss runs, prevention programs, claims management, trends, exposures, financial improvement opportunities, and risk activities to support leadership and executive board decisions • Oversee risk assessments for business insurance programs and drive risk mitigation strategies • Apply analytical skills, monitor programs, and ensure adherence to insurance law and industry standards • Provide stewardship to the organization, department team members, clients, and employees impacted by risk activities • Uphold organizational core values

🎯 Requirements

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in related or associated fields of risk, compliance, healthcare, law, insurance, or experience combined with another supportive degree in related area • 2 years’ experience in healthcare administration, healthcare compliance, risk management, compliance, insurance or claims management, employment law, patient safety or employment-related field or related area • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced and complex environment and maintain a sense of urgency • Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with cross-functional coworkers and utilize core values • Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and experience • Healthcare staffing experience or knowledge is a plus • Previous business insurance management experience including multiple lines of business insurance is a plus • ARM, insurance certification, HCRM, Employment Law, HR or training programs in associated supported risk and/or insurance area are a plus
