📋 Description
• Report to the executive editor • Copyedit web pieces and/or newsletters daily alongside the chief copy editor • Fact-check web pieces of various lengths intermittently with web editors • Handle RightSignature paperwork for freelancers • Maintain the editorial calendar in Asana • Write for TNR’s breaking news feed as time and ability allow
🎯 Requirements
• Ability to work full-time during regular business hours; students or those working part-time during the day should not apply • Follows the news • Obsessive attention to language and facts • Well-organized • Pays close attention to detail • Journalism experience, educationally or professionally, preferred • Résumé and tailored cover letter required • Writing clips requested if available • Finalists must complete a copy-editing test
