📋 Description

• Research, collect, compile, and analyze information supporting operational projects and initiatives • Identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead issues through resolution • Collaborate on performance improvement activities based on program efficiency and patient experience outcomes • Distribute analytical reports • Use multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports, and develop educational materials • Synthesize and analyze data, present graphical trends, and recommend practical options or solutions • Leverage program and operational data to define and demonstrate progress, ROI, and impacts • Obtain appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with providers and coding staff • Validate accurate assignment of working HCC diagnoses affecting RAF scores in the ambulatory patient population • Conduct prospective and retrospective quality reviews of ambulatory patient records and track findings • Identify documentation clarification needs and resolve discrepancies with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals • Ensure medical record documentation is accurate, complete, compliant, and supports medical necessity • Apply knowledge of payment structures, outpatient reimbursement models, provider documentation, and HCC risk adjustment for compliant claims submission • Identify patterns and trends affecting documentation and coding and serve as a technical resource on documentation, coding, and billing regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Business, healthcare, Nursing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience with compliant healthcare documentation, HCC coding requirements, alternate payment models in a multi-facility, integrated health care delivery system, revenue cycle or consulting experience • One of the following credentials: Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC), Certified Clinical Documentation Integrity (CDI), Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist – Outpatient (CCDS-O), Certified Documentation Expert Outpatient (CDEO), or Certified Documentation Integrity Practitioner (CDIP), with coding or clinical documentation integrity experience • Working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health Integrity and Compliance Program, Code of Conduct, policies, procedures, and guidelines • Ability to research, collect, compile, synthesize, and analyze information and data • Ability to create analytical reports, graphical data presentations, educational materials, and recommendations • Ability to use multiple system applications and computer technology • Ability to follow complex tasks through completion and work on concurrent tasks or projects • Ability to maintain a safe working environment and use PPE • Ability to provide assistance in an emergency • Ability to lift a maximum of 30 pounds unassisted occasionally • Additional qualification preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, HIM, or related healthcare field
