📋 Description

• Bring patients to exam rooms, take vital signs, and document in the electronic medical record • Review and update medication lists for provider review and submission • Complete referrals and track patient compliance • Review electronic prescriptions and send them to providers • Obtain patient consent for procedures • Perform pre-visit planning and review quality metrics • Retrieve telephonic clinical information from patients • Monitor provider task lists and complete assigned tasks according to urgency • Educate patients about medication, testing procedures, and home care techniques • Label, handle, and document patient specimens properly • Follow up with patients regarding test results • Maintain a clean and safe work environment • Maintain medical and drug supply cabinets with nursing colleagues • Use the electronic medical record for communication • Perform quality assurance duties • Provide clinical visit summaries and educational materials • Participate in daily Patient Care huddles • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure quality patient care • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred • HS Diploma/equivalent required • Current unencumbered NYS RN license • Basic Life Support certification • 6 months previous RN experience • Must be able to lift 20 lbs. • Ability to work day shift • Ability to use electronic medical records
