📋 Description

• Create and produce timely, accurate performance analytics across multiple segments and organizational levels • Support financial planning and forecasting processes • Develop insightful financial models and decision-support data • Identify financial trends and opportunities, monitor variances and root causes, and recommend improvement actions • Participate in system-wide capital planning and tracking • Support annual financial planning, month-end reporting, forecasting, capital planning/tracking, ad-hoc analytical reporting, executive and partner reporting, user support, and data management • Gather, interpret, and evaluate financial information and trends to support planning • Design and create management reports and provide performance-management insights and recommendations • Perform data reconciliations and self-audits to verify accuracy and functionality; develop processes to rectify deficiencies • Analyze Mount Carmel Health System operations, clinical functions, volume, charges/revenue, and expense drivers in relation to financial and statistical results • Provide proactive analysis to improve financial performance by anticipating trends, threats, and opportunities • Coordinate and enhance internal reporting and source-system knowledge to support management decision-making • Intake and clarify stakeholder requests, information sources, timelines, and presentation requirements • Coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure quality and completeness of deliverables • Participate in problem-solving activities, team goal setting, and strategy implementation and monitoring • Maintain current documentation of assigned processes, policies, and procedures • Maintain positive relationships with leaders from Mount Carmel Health System, Trinity Health, and related entities while preserving confidentiality

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required • CPA, CMA or equivalent certification preferred • Minimum one year of professional level work experience • Healthcare experience preferred but not required • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Understanding of accounting standards, cost accounting, general ledger, budgeting, and analytical practices • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, with advanced capabilities in Excel • Proficiency with analytical and reporting tools such as Smartview/Freeform, OAC, Tableau, and Business Objects • Ability to understand financial performance and operational drivers, create analytical reporting, research trends, variances, and root causes, and provide recommendations/action plans • Ability to interpret complex issues and processes, escalate issues appropriately, and apply knowledge across interconnected activities • Detailed oriented and highly organized, with data management and presentation skills • Ability to translate technical financial terminology for leadership, colleagues, and external customers • Ability to prioritize effectively in a diverse, fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects • Ability to work independently with motivation and initiative, completing work accurately and on time • High level of trust and integrity when handling confidential issues and data
