📋 Description

• Serve as the embedded practice group knowledge management expert and liaison • Lead curation of knowledge artifacts in the firm’s knowledge management database • Develop, implement, maintain, and assess knowledge management strategies and systems • Create and maintain model documents, forms, precedents, drafting guidance, and practice resources • Capture user feedback to improve KM tools and processes, including iManage and the intranet • Review legal, market, and practical materials; track trends, best practices, and legal technology developments • Identify knowledge-base gaps and curate attorney contributions • Plan and execute KM innovation projects, measure return on investment, and report progress • Evaluate and implement technologies that enhance knowledge management and practice support • Champion technology adoption and organizational change • Identify knowledge and training needs with KM, AI, and Practice Management teams • Support lateral onboarding and assess incoming knowledge content • Conduct knowledge succession planning, including pre-departure and pre-retirement interviews • Partner with administrative departments on firm-wide KM initiatives • Develop training materials and facilitate demonstrations, pilots, and success-story sharing • Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements • Maintain strict confidentiality of firm, attorney, and client information

🎯 Requirements

• Proven ability to develop, test, and deliver technology-driven tools and initiatives, including client-facing solutions • Experience using generative AI tools beyond casual use, with a skeptical, validation-focused approach to AI output • Technical expertise around how AI systems are built and evaluated • Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment • Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams and drive organizational change • Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills • Commitment to professional growth, continuous learning, and substantive legal continuing education • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Strong working knowledge of document management systems such as iManage • Active bar membership in good standing • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school • Minimum five (5) years of law firm experience in relevant practice groups • Deep expertise in Insurance + Reinsurance Litigation, Insurance Transactional + Regulatory, Intellectual Property, and Privacy + Cyber practice groups • Demonstrated experience in knowledge management, legal research, and practice support • Experience with knowledge management tools and technologies, including databases, intranets, portals, search engines, and document management systems • Proven experience with legal technology, project management, and business planning • Proficiency in legal research databases and knowledge management platforms
