📋 Description

• Receive daily receipts balanced and stamped for deposit and verify receipt totals • Research receipts that are not clearly marked for posting • Post patient, electronic insurance, manual insurance, zero, and denied payments to appropriate accounts • Make notes required for follow-up and maintain logs of daily receipts and contractual postings • Process rejections by making accounts private or correcting billing errors and resubmitting claims to third-party insurance carriers • Post denials using the correct denial reason code • Balance all payments and contractual daily and ensure postings balance to the site's bank deposit • Meet production, quality assurance, and site-specific productivity standards • Maintain customer service according to company and customer-specific policies and procedures • Update job knowledge through company education opportunities • Protect confidential customer information • Process miscellaneous paperwork • Serve as a resource for other receipting service specialists • Assist with team projects and backlog receipting projects, including unresolved Thrive situations, credit-account research, and unapplied-payment reconciliation • Work overtime as needed to ensure the day/month are fully balanced and closed

🎯 Requirements

• 3 years hospital payment posting, including time outside TruBridge • Computer skills • Experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding • Familiarity with medical terminology • Ability to communicate with various insurance payers • Experience in filing claim appeals with insurance companies to ensure maximum reimbursement • Responsible use of confidential information • Strong written and verbal skills • Ability to multi-task • Display a detailed understanding of CAS codes • Ability to work with high profile customers with difficult processes • Must be agile and able to easily shift between tasks • Ability to work overtime as needed • Ability to balance payments and contractual daily • Ability to meet site-specific productivity requirements
