📋 Description

• Complete and manage prior authorizations for medications, treatments, and services through decisions • Work with insurance companies and prescribers to obtain timely approvals and re-authorize before coverage lapses • Update patients, pharmacies, and providers on approvals and denials and assist with appeals • Monitor the medication management inbox, phone line, and patient portal for refill requests and symptom calls • Check refill requests against charts, route them to prescribers, and follow up with patients • Document symptom calls, route them by urgency, and immediately escalate safety concerns • Coordinate forms with providers, clients, and the Medical Records Manager • Send invoices for prescription refills and paperwork completion • Confirm releases of information and upload completed paperwork to the EHR • Provide remote administrative support, including scheduling, EHR data entry, and other administrative tasks

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Must live in South Carolina • Reliable high-speed internet and a private, quiet workspace • Strong organization, follow-through, and communication skills • Commitment to HIPAA and patient confidentiality • Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) (nice to have, not required) • Medical assistant, medical office, or prior authorization experience (nice to have, not required) • Familiarity with mental health conditions and psychiatric medications (nice to have, not required)
