📋 Description

• Drive new product development through market research, trend analysis, and customer insight • Establish and sustain competitive advantage through data-driven product vision and prioritized roadmaps • Drive continued enhancement of accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity products • Use continuous discovery and validation to solve meaningful customer problems, minimize risk, and accelerate time to market • Partner cross-functionally to align innovation efforts with growth objectives and operational execution • Build repeatable systems for market intelligence, feedback, and performance measurement • Ensure the health product portfolio remains top tier in the market • Identify portfolio gaps and lead product prioritization and development • Build relationships throughout the voluntary benefits marketplace and deepen understanding of trends • Serve as primary storyteller for field partners and communicate products across teams and channels • Lead product development, including research, product design, sales strategy, market analysis, requirements documentation, cost-benefit analysis, and implementation • Lead risk analysis for resources and capabilities needed to bring new products to market • Establish and manage budgets and operational plans • Lead health product claims strategy and claims integration solutions • Develop value-add and care delivery strategies for supplemental health products • Manage external vendor and partner relationships, including RFP and finalist selection processes • Own product strategy from concept to market and champion new product offerings • Collaborate with underwriting, sales, and marketing teams to position products and build awareness with producers • Serve as central point of expertise on product knowledge and market needs • Ensure product initiatives achieve targeted return on investment goals • Coach direct reports on maintaining product health across the organization • Drive initiatives with internal technology and project partners • Develop and own KPIs for new product initiatives and provide actionable insights for data-driven decisions • Ensure products are compliant and address regulatory changes promptly • Perform other duties as needed/assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • 7-10 years of experience in industry, with some experience across product development, product management and implementation • Experience developing or managing voluntary health products • Ability to lead/influence without direct oversight • Proven ability to develop and revise strategy and tactics to propel business growth • Ability to analyze and interpret challenging concepts and resolve complex issues • Ability to inspire, lead, and coach both leaders and employees • Experience working collaboratively across the organization to build consensus and synergies, handle conflicts, negotiate, and promote team spirit • Innovative and creative approach to improving current processes • Integrity and strength of character • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Preferred: Deep broker/market connections in voluntary benefits and adjacent markets • Preferred: Sales-related experience, including client-facing roles – technology, partnerships, account executive/account management, or similar • Preferred: Expertise in leading research projects and synthesizing consumer insights
