📋 Description

• Support the Western Region and California Cost Center 8140 in business generation and business operations • Manage new and existing client relationships, business operations, services, deliverables, and value-driven offerings • Drive new revenue through new work generation and contract renewals • Lead bid teams and proposal-generation efforts • Develop marketing strategies, proposals, bids, presentations, and client deliverables • Compile and vet materials and draft original proposal and client content • Engage with industry professionals through presentations, meetings, and networking events • Identify cross-selling opportunities and support key client/account management programs • Manage local business development and client databases, including CMD • Prepare and deliver client presentations and attend client interviews • Source and interview prospective candidates • Lead the project management team planning and executing California projects • Manage a portfolio of projects and oversee project management services, deliverables, and resources • Diagnose client service delivery needs and required business resources • Track margins, fee/resource forecasts, budgets, and financial reports • Recruit, interview, and manage new talent • Provide line management, coaching, and mentoring to staff • Provide weekly project, initiative, and staffing updates • Ensure timely and accurate client invoicing and follow up on accounts receivable • Liaise with municipal authorities having jurisdiction over projects • Perform SOX control responsibilities where applicable

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a construction-related field • Minimum 8 years of relevant project management experience in the construction A-E-C industry • Experience in business development and construction consultancy, advisory, architecture, or real estate • Comprehensive knowledge of the construction consultancy/advisory business • Ability to identify critical messages and unique selling points and communicate them effectively • Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Proven ability to implement and enforce procedures and influence at all levels • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment • Ability to communicate complex ideas simply, both in writing and verbally • Experience managing client accounts • Experience managing teams of project managers and support staff • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and cross-functional team members • Relevant technical and leadership experience overseeing major construction projects or programs • Excellent presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills
