📋 Description

• Provide commissioning program, project, and team leadership in a client-facing position • Direct and administer commissioning for building HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and similar systems from concept design through functional testing and post-occupancy • Lead and coordinate the commissioning team and project stakeholders for complex projects and technical systems • Develop client relationships, create proposals, and generate new business • Manage project execution within scope and manage project finances for profitability • Lead and mentor direct commissioning reports, delegate tasks, and quality-control their work • Verify systems are designed, installed, and operating according to the basis of design and specified criteria • Review MEP systems design documents and sequences of operation for conformance • Write detailed system checklists and functional performance operational tests • Conduct site walks and inspections and create site observation visit reports • Direct onsite system testing and monitoring of complex, integrated systems and document results • Track and proactively resolve issues with contractors, engineers, and owners • Create technical reports and professional project deliverables • Self-perform tasks independently

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant building science, plus 15 years of relevant experience • Equivalent levels of progressive industry experience can be considered in lieu of degree • Knowledge of MEP systems installation and operation required • Experience in life science, healthcare, and data center facilities strongly preferred • Professional Engineer (PE) preferred • LEED AP and commissioning certification (such as CxA, CCP, or BCxP) preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers • Ability to effectively present information using technical writing skills, including detailed document formatting • Strong organizational skills and ability to independently track many ongoing tasks and organize large amounts of project files and correspondence • Knowledge of financial terms and principles • Ability to manage project budgets, job costs, forecasting, project billing, and invoicing • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex construction documents and operation of building controls systems • Ability to address complex project team dynamics and troubleshoot building system operation • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, including detailed formatting • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including processing and analyzing large amounts of BAS trend data • Network file management skills • Ability to edit PDF documents • Ability to create formatted layouts preferred • Prior use of commissioning online software preferred • Occasional regional travel to project sites • Ability to work independently
