📋 Description
• Act as the key, day-to-day client interface for cost management services • Support large-scale mission-critical, industrial, and campus-style construction programs • Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle • Produce and present final cost plans and cost estimates • Review design services and general contractor cost estimates • Reconcile changes and verify contractor data accuracy • Gather project status information and prepare cost estimate updates • Prepare written comments and executive summaries on contractor submissions • Coordinate cost information from NPA, subcontractors, suppliers, quantities, and architects/engineers • Drive engineering priorities based on cost impact • Resolve scheduling issues proactively • Manage cost checks, valuations, cost auditing, and cost validation processes • Manage cost impact, contingency, commitment tracking, and change control • Prepare funding data presentations and coordinate value engineering sessions • Develop and update cost plans and estimates at design milestones • Provide commercial input to design optioneering and value engineering • Review contractor and subcontractor pricing and lead client-side negotiations • Perform quantity surveying, cost controls, and change management throughout the project lifecycle • Produce monthly cost reports for client presentation • Negotiate and agree final accounts • Compile built cost estimate records for benchmarking • Identify, coach, and mentor talent • Track commission margins, fee/resource forecasts, and financial reports using internal software • Implement internal business management systems, delivery methodologies, and tools • Promote Turner & Townsend’s values, vision, and one-business culture • Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related construction field • Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in a construction-industry cost management role • RICS accreditation or progress toward accreditation preferred • Experience leading cost management on medium- to large-scale, medium- to high-complexity construction projects • Experience supporting mission-critical, advanced technology, data center, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, or large campus-style developments preferred • Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred • Good knowledge of construction-industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Ability to operate in a client-facing role • Ability to work remotely from Ohio or surrounding states and travel to the Columbus-area project site approximately once per month
