📋 Description

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects • Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials • Lead comprehensive cost management plans with project teams • Analyze project requirements and provide value engineering options • Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering • Communicate and collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders • Use industry-specific estimating software and tools to prepare estimates • Provide estimating advice, guidance, and analysis to project stakeholders • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of estimating processes and methodologies • Prepare formal estimating reports covering quantities, costs, escalation, assumptions, and clarifications • Mentor and support junior estimators • Support large-scale, mission-critical hyperscale and enterprise data center construction projects throughout the project lifecycle • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a construction-related field • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience • Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, or Project Cost Controls • Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm • Experience supporting large-scale construction projects and programs • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering • Excellent communication skills • Understanding of high-voltage and low-voltage systems, power distribution, substations, emergency power systems, switchgear, UPS infrastructure, grounding, controls, and communications systems • Ability to use industry-specific estimating software and tools • Ability to prepare formal estimating reports, including quantity, cost, escalation, assumptions, and clarifications
