📋 Description

• Handle sophisticated, high-exposure Florida civil defense litigation • Work on trucking and motor vehicle matters, premises liability, surgical and medical-related cases, and other complex liability matters • Develop compelling case themes • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials • Manage all facets of discovery and trial preparation • Take meaningful ownership of cases and move assignments forward independently • Collaborate with Holly Howanitz, Stefani Cogsdale, and attorneys at all experience levels • Communicate routinely with clients • Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys • Participate in case strategy and motion practice • Build and maintain a presence in Central Florida with limited travel expectations

🎯 Requirements

• Active Florida Bar license required • JD from an ABA-approved school • Must be licensed in your state • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation • Ability to manage full case-handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred • Experience with time management systems • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills • Professional appearance and demeanor • Strong legal writing skills • Substantive motion practice and discovery experience • Trial experience highly valued • Law Review or another demonstrated record of exceptional legal research and writing particularly attractive
