📋 Description

• Handle sophisticated, high-exposure litigation matters, including trucking and motor vehicle, premises liability, surgical and medical-related, and other complex liability cases • Develop compelling case themes • Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials • Manage full case handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial preparation • Work closely with Holly Howanitz and Stefani Cogsdale on case strategy, motion practice, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and trials • Communicate routinely with clients • Cultivate relationships with existing and future clients • Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys • Collaborate with attorneys at all experience levels • Take ownership of cases while working independently and receiving mentorship and feedback

🎯 Requirements

• Active Florida Bar license required • JD from an ABA approved school • Must be licensed in your state • 8+ years of solid litigation experience, specifically with litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation • Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including all facets of discovery and trial • Experience handling insurance defense matters preferred • Experience with time management systems • Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook • Ability to think and act independently with minimal supervision • Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills • Professional appearance and demeanor • Strong legal writing, substantive motion practice, and discovery experience • Trial experience highly valued • Law Review or demonstrated exceptional legal research and writing is particularly attractive
