U. S. Ski & Snowboard Team is the national governing body and elite athlete program representing U. S. competitors across skiing and snowboarding disciplines. The organization fields and manages national teams, develops athletes through training programs and regional clubs, organizes events and competitions, provides athlete services (coaching, sports medicine, and development), and engages fans and partners through media, membership, and fundraising activities to support competitive success and sport growth.

📋 Description

• Provide athlete treatment and rehabilitation services • Provide on-hill coverage for training and competitions according to the team schedule • Document, communicate, and facilitate athlete medical management • Travel extensively internationally • Assist with insurance claims surrounding injuries • Coordinate with U.S. Ski & Snowboard staff and volunteer medical providers • Participate in sports medicine special projects related to injury, risk mitigation, and performance medicine • Provide coverage at the Center of Excellence when needed • Attend required educational activities • Participate in Medical/High Performance meetings • Assist in preparing, organizing, and executing annual team preparticipation physicals in Park City • Participate in all U.S. Ski & Snowboard team staff and medical staff meetings • Perform additional assigned responsibilities and tasks

🎯 Requirements

• Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA, Board of Certification) or Licensed Physical Therapist with background in sports injury management • Three to five years of team sport or elite athlete experience post licensure • First Aid and CPR certified • Acute injury management skills and experience • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with coaches, staff, athletes, physicians, and athlete management personnel • Excellent manual skills for athlete recovery and rehabilitations • Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently and effectively in high pressure/time sensitive settings • Ability to ski and snowboard at an Intermediate to Advanced level is required • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. • Ability to stand outside slope side or on course during training and competitions in adverse weather conditions
