📋 Description

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the academic department • Guide faculty, programs, and initiatives toward excellence • Lead faculty workload planning, scheduling, performance, development, and success initiatives • Shape the department’s vision and foster shared understanding of faculty success • Collaborate with faculty and administrative teams on scheduling, contracts, faculty concerns, and development • Teach asynchronous undergraduate and graduate courses to adult learners • Lead development and improvement of programs, courses, course materials, and innovative teaching practices • Supervise and mentor associate faculty • Review and support instructional quality of associate faculty • Support curriculum success initiatives and divisional strategic plans • Attend department, college, and university meetings and participate in shared governance and committees • Lead search and hiring committees and make departmental hiring decisions • Create and monitor the departmental budget with college leadership • Oversee program review, accreditation, and licensure efforts • Implement initiatives enhancing student learning, retention, completion, and value • Coordinate holistic student support efforts with academic and student support teams • Monitor, organize, and report initiatives related to students’ connection to the university • Deliver high-quality, engaging online instruction • Connect learning to workforce skills and professional advancement • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for adult learners • Prioritize student learning, achievement, and timely feedback • Maintain communication with students and respond promptly to inquiries • Ensure academic integrity and uphold university policies • Collaborate with academic support teams to enhance student experience

🎯 Requirements

• Earned doctorate degree in a discipline aligned with the academic program • Experience in academic leadership, including faculty development, curriculum oversight, or departmental operations • Experience contributing to or leading strategic planning and implementation in academic programs • Evidence of adequate training, depth of knowledge in a particular specialty, and capacity to undertake high-quality teaching and service • Familiarity with best practices in teaching and learning, including curriculum development and assessment strategies, especially in virtual environments • Collaborative and student-centered approach to leadership and instructional support • Demonstrated ability to lead programmatic initiatives, mentor faculty, and foster continuous improvement • Familiarity with scaling innovative teaching practices and supporting holistic student development in online learning environments • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position • Global Campus Associate Professor requires a terminal degree and 4 years full-time college teaching experience • Global Campus Professor requires a terminal degree and 8 years full-time college teaching experience
