📋 Description

• Manage the daily operations of the clinical team in medical management operations • Maintain production metrics, service level agreements, contractual requirements, strategic targets, operational targets, and budgetary targets • Support future-state initiatives and development of clinical quality programs • Identify operational opportunities and areas for process development, improvement, and administration for clinical product offerings • Present recommendations to leadership • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of business support, technical support, or production teams • Set team priorities and coordinate work with other supervisors and managers • Monitor operational performance, quality measures, contractual requirements, policy and procedure execution, and clinical appropriateness • Administer clinical programs, including medical policy and utilization management processes, while maintaining contractual and regulatory compliance • Serve as an escalation point for complex issues • Provide department leadership through mentoring, auditing, productivity monitoring, and coaching • Correspond with management regarding employee/HR issues, department status, service issues, client issues, and legal-risk issues • Analyze reporting-data trends to maximize quality, efficiency, and productivity • Provide feedback on productivity and efficiency • Identify operational efficiencies, process and workflow improvements, and best practices • Travel as needed • Participate actively in in-person and virtual internal and external meetings • Supervise 1–20 direct reports

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience • 2–5 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree • Registered Nurse License in good standing in the state in which you work and/or cross-licensed in other states • Telephonic nursing roles require a Compact State License in eligible states, with willingness to obtain a Compact State License when applicable • Telephonic nursing roles require a California State License, with willingness to obtain additional single-state licenses upon request • Solid PC navigation skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills • Solid understanding of the health insurance industry • Ability to navigate and support public and private insurance/plan requirements • Exposure to managed care • Understanding of, or ability to implement, utilization management principles • Proven leadership in a clinical operations environment • Ability to travel as needed • Supervisory experience with 1–20 direct reports
