📋 Description

• Support the design of utility-scale solar projects nationwide • Work with internal multidisciplinary teams and clients to develop Solar PV design/construction packages • Develop solar array layouts, electrical one-lines, collection systems, collection system studies, and equipment installation details for utility-scale Solar PV systems • Turn initial high-level designs into optimized designs ready for construction • Leverage internal tools and external software in the design process • Contribute to the development of internal solar engineering standards, toolsets, and work processes • Participate in site visits and conferences to meet client requests and strengthen relationships • Support early-stage projects with conceptual designs and material take-offs • Contribute strategically to the growth of Ulteig’s Renewables Lifeline Sector®

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program • EIT preferred • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar industry • Experience with solar design software programs including CYMCAP, PVFARM, SAM, and PVsyst • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to employees, management, and clients • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience with estimating or designing electrical systems is mandatory • Knowledge of photovoltaic systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices is strongly preferred • Ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies • Must have the ability to work permanently in the US
