📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, assess, and teach online courses within the Social Work programs • Ensure courses align with program outcomes and accreditation standards • Mentor and support students, adjunct faculty, staff, and program stakeholders • Participate in discipline, professional, and institutional service, including committee work and community engagement • Demonstrate professional and collegial conduct with faculty, staff, and university leadership • Contribute to program development, assessment, and continuous improvement • Perform other duties and projects assigned in collaboration with the Dean • Engage in curriculum development, service, mentoring, teaching, and other professional contributions supporting the University mission

🎯 Requirements

• Earned Doctorate (PhD, DSW, or closely related field) in Social Work or a related discipline from an accredited institution; ABD candidates may be considered with degree completion by start date • Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE accredited program • Eligible to obtain or currently hold a California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential with authorization in School Social Work and Child Welfare and Attendance • Applicants without the credential must meet California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) requirements and be eligible to obtain it within a specified timeframe • Minimum of two years of post-MSW professional practice experience in social work • Experience teaching in higher education, preferably online asynchronous modalities • Knowledge of school social work, child welfare, trauma-informed practices, and culturally responsive services for diverse PK–12 student populations • Commitment to student-centered teaching and supporting a diverse adult learner population • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills • Expertise developing and delivering current, market-relevant curriculum, assessments, and learning activities in an online-first LMS • Experience applying data-informed approaches to enhance student success and retention • Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and professionals across disciplines • Commitment to a respectful, open, and constructive workplace culture • Preferred: involvement in related professional and academic associations • Preferred: experience practicing as a school social worker in a K–12 educational setting • Preferred: current clinical social worker licensure, such as LCSW, or equivalent • Preferred: familiarity with competency-based education and assessment aligned with CSWE standards • Preferred: scholarly, professional, or community engagement activities • Preferred: ability to manage, support, and train adjuncts online
