📋 Description

• Provide telehealth primary care medical services while patients await appointments with new UMass Primary Care Physicians • Obtain complete medical histories and perform limited virtual physical examinations • Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies • Close care gaps • Formulate diagnoses and treatment plans • Prescribe and/or dispense medication • Provide specialty referrals when appropriate • Counsel patients and families on disease management and prevention • Perform and document complete history and physical examinations • Request consultations and communicate with consultants • Order subspecialty and allied health consultations • Maintain accurate and timely medical records • Communicate with the Supervising Physician according to UMMHC policy • Support teaching, training, and orientation of students and colleagues • Participate in clinical research, conferences, rounds, and quality-control meetings • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement and comply with institutional, departmental, health, and safety policies

🎯 Requirements

• A Masters degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program • Eligible or current Massachusetts license • National certification (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, as applicable) • Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration required • Federal DEA Controlled Substance Registration required • Experience in Primary Care, ideally managing an own patient panel • Experience with virtual care • EPIC medical record use • Experience with virtual care platforms • Maintain required credentials, including state licensure, controlled substance registration, DEA registration, NCCPA certification, BLS, and ACLS certification, as appropriate • Log CME and complete re-certification examinations as required for NCCPA certificate maintenance
