University Area Community Development Corporation is a 501(c)(3) public/private partnership focused on children and family development, crime prevention, and commerce growth in the University Area surrounding the Tampa campus of the University of South Florida. UACDC provides youth programs, adult education, resource assistance, and community redevelopment services to a high-poverty, at-risk neighborhood (about 95% of those served are below the poverty level). Its headquarters is the University Area Community Center Complex (UACCC), a 50,000 sq ft multi-purpose facility offering classrooms, studios, fitness and performance spaces, a gymnasium and playground; many programs are provided free to residents through grants and public/private funding.
