📋 Description

• Instruct undergraduate and/or graduate courses in accordance with University of Phoenix learning objectives and course outlines • Deliver course content, learning activities, and student assessments using current course materials • Provide supplemental knowledge and connect course concepts to real-world applications • Make class materials available promptly • Maintain an engaged classroom presence and respond to student inquiries in a timely manner • Create a supportive learning environment and address academic issues • Coach, tutor, and identify additional resources for student learning • Oversee clinical, practicum, and mentorship experiences when required • Attend faculty meetings, University events, and student graduations • Maintain knowledge of course updates, instruction standards, University technology, and content-area developments • Perform instruction and related duties in an online environment • Maintain active faculty status and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate of Nursing Science, Doctor of Nursing Practice, PhD in Nursing, or Medical Physician degree including Naturopathic MD and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine; OR doctorate degree in any area and a Master’s degree in Nursing; OR Master’s degree in Nursing • Degree must be from a regionally accredited institution • Minimum 5 years of applicable practice experience as a Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and/or Medical Physician • Minimum 2 years of current experience within the last 5 years • Active, unencumbered or unrestricted Registered Arizona Nurse or Multistate (RN) license • Active Arizona Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification in the state of residence and/or practice • Active national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist • Familiarity with adult education teaching and learning theory • High problem-solving and decision-making ability • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills • Technology proficiency, including Microsoft suite programs • Able to convey a professional image and represent the University appropriately • Annual scholarship record meeting UOPX’s scholarship engagement definition
