📋 Description

• Coordinate patient orders received from physician offices and internal ancillary departments • Assure appropriate distribution of orders to servicing departments • Review 100% of scheduled procedure orders for physician signature, test/procedure, date, and diagnosis accuracy • Contact physician offices to clarify orders as needed and index orders to patient accounts • Manage orders received by fax, physician EMR, or other sources and scan them into electronic medical records • Answer and respond to external and internal phone calls • Check and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner • Meet or exceed productivity standards and complete daily assignments accurately • Know procedure preparation times, locations, performing physicians, and special instructions • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers using the ADIET method • Maintain an organized and efficient work area • Transmit patient documents accurately and promptly • Maintain job knowledge, professional conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with company policies and HIPAA requirements • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required • PC literacy • Must be able to type 30 wpm with 95% accuracy • At least one year of patient access preferred • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology preferred • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats • Proficient in EMR and Microsoft Office Suite • Able to utilize appropriate computer systems for ICD-10 code lookup • Ability to understand instructions and underlying principles • Ability to reason and make sound judgments • Must maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA privacy and security requirements • Adherence to organizational and department-specific safety standards and guidelines
