📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the Word & Deed program • Develop and maintain program goals, implementation plans, timelines, and priorities • Translate the program model into effective systems, processes, and practices for implementation • Assess and refine the program model based on participant feedback, evaluation findings, emerging needs, and lessons learned • Ensure program activities align with Urban Strategies’ mission, Christian Community Development principles, and funder and partner expectations • Identify programmatic opportunities, challenges, and risks and develop strategies to address them • Serve as the primary internal owner and point of accountability for Word & Deed implementation and outcomes • Lead participant recruitment and selection • Build relationships with pastoral leaders and congregations • Provide ongoing participant support, accompaniment, and guidance • Lead or facilitate cohort learning experiences • Coordinate facilitators, subject matter experts, consultants, coaches, and other contributors • Develop and refine curriculum, workbooks, discussion guides, and other participant resources • Oversee program coordination, logistics, cohort sessions, events, and program grants • Maintain accurate program documentation and records • Maintain the program budget and track expenses • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations • Develop timely communications with participants, congregations, facilitators, partners, and internal stakeholders • Develop program stories, participant highlights, outcomes, and impact content with communications staff • Support dissemination of program learning and outcomes through presentations, written resources, conferences, and other channels • Ensure grant reporting to foundations and other stakeholders • Contribute expertise to strategic fundraising, grant proposals, donor communications, and funder engagement • Develop and maintain a sustainability strategy for Word & Deed

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Divinity, Ministry, Social Area, Administration, Education, etc.) • Experience working directly with faith-based organizations, pastoral leaders, or diverse denominations for more than 5 years • Experience in program coordination, program management, community development, leadership development, or a related field • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities • Bilingual (Fluent English/Spanish) • Strong organizational and multitasking skills • Proficiency in project management • Proficiency in technology systems • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality • Ability to build new relationships and maintain relational networks • Critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and solve problems • Passion for our company's mission and values • Employment is conditional pending satisfactory results of all required tests and background checks
