📋 Description

• Investigate, negotiate, evaluate, and appraise vehicle damage claims for repairable and total loss vehicles • Evaluate highly complex auto physical damage claims using digital tools, contracts, corporate guidelines, and state laws • Investigate claim damages by communicating with insureds, internal claims adjusters, and third parties/vendors • Review facts of loss and vehicle damage to identify subrogation opportunities and maintain supporting documentation • Review claims and suppliers for fraud indicators and refer cases to the Special Investigations Unit when applicable • Maintain accurate and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process • Manage desks, follow up timely, and accurately map repair plans and repair timelines • Review additional damage from repair facilities and complete supplements or triage inspections to field providers • Serve as a subject matter expert for disputed claims or trials • Support team members with escalated routine issues • Partner with vendors and internal business partners to resolve highly complex claims • Coordinate with external regulators when needed to ensure documentation and compliance • Provide policyholders with coverage, repair estimate, total loss valuation, and claims-process information • Support workload surges and catastrophe response operations, including on-call work and potential CAT deployment travel • Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma • 2 years of auto appraising experience • Proficient knowledge of P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages • Knowledge of auto parts distribution and claim appraisal processes and procedures • Advanced working knowledge of estimating losses using CCC or similar estimating platforms • Strong written and verbal communication skills with members, claimants, repair facilities, and stakeholders • Acquisition and maintenance of an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts • Must be located within Texas or Colorado • Ability to support mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and holiday work during catastrophe response • Ability to travel for CAT deployment with minimal notice • US military experience or military spouse/domestic partner experience is listed as a differentiator • I-CAR certification is listed as a differentiator • Must not require current or future visa sponsorship or immigration support
