📋 Description

• Participate in annual commodity contract negotiations for assigned areas • Monitor and execute supplier agreements for designated areas • Procure commodity products for assigned areas • Build and maintain relationships with strategic commodity partners • Transact business with strategic commodity suppliers as assigned by leadership • Participate in joint supplier/division business plan meetings • Provide operational leadership with guidance on commodity market direction • Communicate new product opportunities to divisions • Participate in negotiations for new terms, rebates, and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs • Help resolve supplier and US LBM operations challenges involving costs, quantities, AP variances, and late shipments • Visit regional divisions quarterly to discuss pricing, strategy, and updates • Execute block buys, spot buys, and forward pricing to protect long-term customer contracts • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of purchasing, inventory control/management, materials input, or warehousing experience required • Strong knowledge of the building material industry to support Supply Chain objectives • A high degree of interpersonal communication for negotiation • Mastery of tools needed to extract data, conduct RFPs, manage and replenish inventory • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems • Knowledge and skill to organize, plan, manage, execute, and evaluate projects • 10-20% travel • Must comply with company safety, attendance, and ethics guidelines • Must comply with all policies and standards • Bachelor's Degree preferred • Concentration in Supply Chain studies preferred
