📋 Description

• Manage, monitor, and maintain Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux servers across production and staging environments • Perform system upgrades, kernel updates, patch management, and performance tuning • Implement and manage user access, security policies, and backup/recovery strategies • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, operating system, and network-related issues • Maintain configuration management and deployment pipelines using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools • Monitor system health and resource utilization to ensure uptime and performance • Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams on environment provisioning across AWS, Azure, or on-premises infrastructure • Manage server hardening, SSH configuration, SSL certificates, and OS-level security compliance • Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery, and incident response activities • Create and maintain system documentation, SOPs, and audit reports • Support mission-critical systems and collaborate with DevOps, Network, and Software teams

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Linux system administration with Ubuntu and Red Hat • Strong command of Bash scripting and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Shell, or basic Python • Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus • Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, NFS, SSH, and firewalls • Experience with virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMware, KVM, and Docker • Strong troubleshooting skills with system logs, kernel issues, and service failures • Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipeline environments • Excellent documentation and communication skills; ability to support global teams • RHCSA or RHCE certification preferred • Experience managing high-availability clusters, load balancing, and RAID management preferred • Previous experience in enterprise-scale infrastructure environments or technology product companies preferred • Ability to handle pressure and maintain SLAs in critical environments
