📋 Description

• Schedules medical appointments through coordination of patients, providers, locations, payers, etc. • Receives and initiates calls to and from patients, providers, outside provider offices, while following established scheduling procedures and protocols. • Appropriately schedules appointments, tests and/or procedures, leveraging the electronic health record (EHR) scheduling software. • Promptly answers incoming calls in a professional manner and scheduling of patient appointments. • Obtains patient demographics with accuracy to include but not limited to patient address information, telephone number and insurance information from the patient. • Manages electronic requests through drop box and patient portals to schedule appointments. • Distributes faxes helps manage needed requests. • Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. • Must be HIPAA compliant

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years administration or similar experience preferred. • Previous medical office experience preferred. • Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA compliance and OSHA rules and regulations preferred.
