📋 Description

• The Mental Health Reviewing Consultant is responsible for performing the psychiatric and mental health consultations and submitting the written recommendations. • Mental Health Reviewing Consultant shall review all documentation provided by the Independent Medical Examination – (IME) for adequacy, consistency, and credibility. • Any discrepancies or other issues shall be communicated between the IME provider and the Mental Health Reviewing Consultant. • The Mental Health Reviewing Consultant shall review and study all documents and provide a written recommendation to the Contracting Officer’s Representative- (COR) or Nurse Consultant via secured electronic transmission within ten (10) business days.

🎯 Requirements

• Must have a current, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory or commonwealth of the U.S. or the District of Columbia. • Shall have obtained and maintained certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. • Evidence of a minimum of five (5) years of experience demonstrating knowledge of forensic law enforcement hiring/screening experience and knowledge of the Office of Personnel Management's policies about Federal hiring. • Experience in reviewing FFDE cases for psychological and psychiatric illness of law enforcement is preferred. • Experience in performing the psychiatric and mental health consultations and submitting the written recommendations.
