• Manage installation and project execution of material handling automation and sortation systems • Oversee electrical subcontractors on large and complex projects • Ensure electrical installations are performed safely and comply with quality standards, project specifications, technical requirements, electrical codes, and customer standards • Serve as the primary point of contact for electrical subcontractors and communicate with internal project staff, customers, and vendors • Track electrical progress and quality, forecast schedule adherence, maintain redline updates, and resolve or escalate discrepancies • Coordinate subcontractor personnel, materials, tools, and equipment to meet construction schedules • Verify electrical project progress in daily and weekly meetings • Perform weekly electrical progress completion assessments • Validate and maintain turnover documentation, including area-ready reports, installation completion checks, pre-power checks, power-on test reports, field wiring test reports, pre-commissioning checks, and system/area turnover documentation • Maintain the electrical project budget by forecasting issues, mitigating change orders, and monitoring expected work hours • Ensure industrial networking is installed and certified according to engineering drawings • Collaborate with electrical supervisors to improve efficiency, cost, and design • Supervise subcontractors to complete projects within budget, schedule, quality, and performance standards • Review project documents, plans, and specifications; direct installation priorities and coordinate field installations and project close-outs • Assist with equipment trial runs and verify compliance with Vanderlande and client standards • Train subcontractors in equipment installation • Maintain site safety awareness and standards • Track electrical deliverables, subcontractor performance, staffing levels, and project improvements
• 5+ years of experience working with electro-mechanical equipment • Ability to travel on short notice to address urgent project requirements • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and potentially off-shift hours • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and AHJ requirements, with the ability to train others • Ability to read, understand, red line, and challenge electrical layout drawings, standards, and schematics • Ability to troubleshoot complex control and motor wiring circuit problems • Previous experience in installation of material handling equipment • Detailed knowledge and experience in a related technical or specialty area • Must have a valid driver’s license and passport • Has (or is willing to obtain) OSHA 30 certification within the last 3 years • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office suite software • Electrical licensing or certification in one or more state • High School Diploma or equivalent • Electrical licensing or certifications • OSHA 30 training • Proactive safety management skills • Ability to work in a team and independently • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office suite and specialty programs • Adaptability to different or evolving situations/environments • Strong customer service skills • Excellent time management skills • Financial stewardship and electrical budget/cost management • Ability to resolve ambiguity and manage complexity • Willingness to travel up to 100% • Willingness to work an average of 50 to 60 hours per week and up to 7 days a week • Preferred: current and valid electrical journeyman’s license in one or more state • Preferred: 5-7 years of material handling or automation industry experience • Preferred: experience managing large and dynamic material handling projects • Preferred: experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors
