📋 Description

• Lead the team in designing analytic solutions that meet customer needs • Enhance existing analytic solutions to ensure quality and performance • Integrate data from multiple sources to create a common operating picture • Select and implement statistical analyses and scoring metrics to evaluate algorithm performance • Create training and test datasets from multiple sources to enhance algorithms • Perform data cleansing, validation, and other ETL functions • Produce analytic reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders • Identify and implement data visualizations for analysis, presentations, and end-user UI needs • Perform feature engineering, classifier optimization, event forecasting, and anomaly detection • Interface with external stakeholders to decompose data science mission needs • Produce documentation describing data science processes, results, and approaches • Select and implement machine learning algorithms to enhance or compete with existing algorithms • Research, develop, and sustain mission-focused software applications, backend services, APIs, data workflows, and analytical capabilities • Maintain and enhance custom applications, troubleshoot defects, improve performance, contribute to code reviews and technical documentation, and deliver reliable capabilities in an agile, remote-first environment • Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and customer stakeholders to build applications and data pipelines supporting operational awareness and data-driven decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• Must be a US citizen • Current Top Secret security clearance and/or CBP/DHS suitability • Good working knowledge of Python and pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, and scipy • Experience processing, cleaning, and analyzing time series and/or geospatial data • Strong statistical background in statistical testing, regression, and probability • 3+ years of professional experience applying machine learning techniques to time series and/or geospatial data • 3+ years of professional experience with databases/data file systems such as PostgreSQL and HDFS • 3+ years of professional experience with version control systems such as Git • 3+ years of professional experience with time series event forecasting • Ability to understand and integrate new machine learning algorithms and technologies • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related discipline with 5+ years of industry experience in data science • Experience scoring and measuring algorithm performance • Data visualization of multi-source, multi-dimensional data and analytic results in real time and presentations • Experience conducting model feasibility research and machine learning algorithm development • Wide breadth of experience with machine learning algorithms and approaches • Current knowledge of industry trends and ability to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently • Experience working on teams using Agile Scrum or Kanban • Preferred: Master's degree • Preferred: Experience with deep learning technologies such as PyTorch, Keras, and TensorFlow • Preferred: Experience with radar data • Preferred: Experience with data correlation • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
