📋 Description

• Represent VaVa Virtual Assistants positively and professionally in every client interaction • Contribute to a collaborative culture among contractors and specialists • Manage client website projects and ongoing support requests with reliability and follow-through • Anticipate technical needs and communicate proactively about progress and timelines • Design, develop, and maintain websites for multiple clients, primarily using WordPress • Build and customize front-end interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain backend functionality with PHP • Build and maintain ecommerce sites using WooCommerce, Shopify, or ThriveCart • Execute website migrations, domain transfers, and hosting changes with minimal disruption • Configure and maintain website security measures • Build landing pages and configure automations and integrations using Zapier, Make, n8n, ConvertKit, or Klaviyo • Monitor analytics and traffic and optimize sites for SEO and AEO • Report on client-defined performance metrics • Use Claude, ChatGPT, and other AI tools to support development and custom workflows • Collaborate with designers and other contractors • Gather and refine requirements directly from clients • Communicate timelines, progress, and technical concepts in accessible language • Provide ongoing maintenance and ad hoc support across multiple concurrent projects • Maintain documentation of site structure, credentials, and technical decisions • Complete additional web development tasks within the contractor engagement scope

🎯 Requirements

• Must reside and be authorized to work in the United States • At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in front end and backend web development • At least 2 years of experience working full-time in a virtual or remote capacity • Demonstrated experience supporting multiple clients across different industries • Active freelance or independent web development practice strongly preferred • Available a minimum of 10 hours per week, with flexibility for additional ad hoc projects • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP • Proficiency in WordPress, including theme customization, plugin management, site migrations, and troubleshooting • Experience with at least one ecommerce platform: WooCommerce, Shopify, or ThriveCart • Experience with SEO and AEO, including Google Analytics, Search Console, and Tag Manager • Experience with automation and systems integration tools such as Zapier, Make, or n8n • Experience with email marketing or landing page platforms such as ConvertKit or Klaviyo • Experience implementing website security best practices • AI literacy, including Claude or ChatGPT • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, and Zoom • Experience with at least one project management tool and one CRM tool • Preferred: Webflow, Wix, Squarespace, Showit, Loveable, or Durable • Preferred: Graphic design and UX/UI experience, including wireframing in Figma or Adobe Illustrator • Preferred: Familiarity with Git/GitHub, SQL, or Python • A degree is not required • A degree or certificate in web development, computer science, or a related field is a plus, but not required • Candidates without a degree should hold at least one relevant certification, such as WordPress certification, AWS Certified Developer, Google Analytics certification, or CompTIA Security+ • Commitment to continued learning • Ability to communicate quickly and regularly with clients during the day • Application asks about weekend/evening availability, fluent languages, active registered business entity, freelance hourly rate, agency-model experience, and willingness to work as a 1099 contractor
