📋 Description

• Oversee monthly balance sheet reconciliations • Perform and review general ledger account reconciliations • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting • Analyze, review, verify, and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records • Investigate and correct accounting entries as needed • Prepare and review reports and ad hoc analyses for internal and external purposes • Oversee the accounts receivable process, including billing accuracy and timeliness • Maintain the billing system and generate and send invoices • Maintain client invoicing and bill payment records • Monitor aging balances and assess collectability • Ensure revenue recorded complies with U.S. GAAP • Assist internal and external auditors with periodic audits • Reconcile and adjust bank accounts to manage cash flow • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government and tax requirements • Provide oversight, mentorship, and support for Finance staff development • Administer departmental policies and procedures and evaluate results and performance • Assist with budgets, strategic plans, and policy development • Perform special projects and other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations • Prior leadership, supervisory, or project leadership experience preferred • Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required • CPA preferred but not required • In-depth understanding of accounting concepts and principles • Ability to read, understand, and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies • Ability to lead and direct the work of other employees and make personnel decisions • Ability to communicate with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner • Flexibility to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment • High attention to detail and commitment to service excellence • Strong leadership and management skills • Strong presentation development and delivery skills • Strong accounting and/or finance knowledge • Strong judgment and problem-solving skills • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills • Strong knowledge of Outlook and Great Plains or equivalent ERP software • Strong math skills
