📋 Description

• Support Student Financial Services activities, including setting up student accounts, driving collection activities, processing payments, applying and processing scholarships, issuing refunds, and related student-lifecycle activities. • Educate families on funding pathways through educational materials, phone, email, Zoom, and large-scale live virtual webinars. • Communicate clearly and effectively with students and families and provide exceptional, timely service across communication channels. • Drive tuition-payment collections through appropriate and consistent outreach. • Create and maintain systems and processes for scholarships, discounts, and collections; participate in process improvement as the department scales. • Utilize and maintain reporting on student payment status, scholarship data, tuition collection goals, and related trends. • Maintain accurate student records, note taking, and CRM hygiene. • Serve as subject matter expert on Verto’s pricing model, refund policies, and exceptions policies; execute policies as needed. • Assist with file reviews, audits, and regulatory requirements. • Own scholarship programs by reviewing applications, collecting documentation, awarding scholarships, maintaining records, and serving as the point of contact for scholarship questions. • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including admissions, onboarding, marketing, finance, accounting, and consulting groups. • Maintain compliance with privacy, compliance, and confidentiality policies, manager guidance, and best practices. • Perform other duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in English. • Ability to work remote, this is a remote position. • Able to travel at least 1-2 weeks per year. • Must be based in the US, and work on a time zone 1 hour +/- those in the continental US. (Example: GMT -8 through GMT -3). • One to three years of student or customer service experience and one year of student accounts experience. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to provide verbal and written information, with clear instructions as to the processes. • Ability to present highly complex information in one on one and group settings. • Self-motivated and self-directed. • Excellent problem-solving skills; ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions. • Exceptional attention to detail, record-keeping, and ability to follow completed multi-step processes. • Strong computer skills, including Google suite and Microsoft suites, to include Excel, Word and Powerpoint. • Experience with Salesforce or another relational CRM is a plus. • Ability to work independently, in a fast paced environment, often balancing multiple priorities. • Experience with Salesforce (or other billing software systems) • Bachelor's degree preferred. • Billing, scholarship, and collections experience preferred. • Financial aid experience a benefit. • Must have the legal right to work in the United States; Verto Education is unable to sponsor visas for this role.
