📋 Description

• Own the strategic direction of the onboarding and visa operations teams • Set departmental priorities, policies, and budget, and represent the functions in company planning • Develop, implement, and continuously improve processes and procedures • Collaborate across departments and with external partners to scale services and reduce logistical friction • Lead preparation of students and families for on-site arrival, including travel, health, passport, accommodation, and academic information • Drive strategy for moving students through the student visa process • Develop scalable people, technology, and operational solutions • Build, lead, develop, mentor, and manage onboarding and visa operations teams • Manage multiple people managers and coach high-achieving teams • Develop and drive annual and quarterly OKRs • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities using data and develop strategy from insights • Partner cross-functionally with Admissions, Marketing, SFS, Academics, and other teams • Present updates, wins, challenges, and blockers to executive leadership • Ensure accuracy and integrity of student account data • Use data for forecasting, capacity planning, and housing planning

🎯 Requirements

• Fluency in English • Ability to work remotely • Able to travel at least 1–2 weeks per year • Must be based in the US and work in a time zone within 1 hour +/- those in the continental US (GMT -8 through GMT -3) • 8+ years of progressive experience leading customer service or student-facing teams • Excellent strategic thinking and strong analytics skills • Commitment to operational excellence and a student-first mindset • Experience mentoring teams, implementing process improvements, and managing complex cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment • Self-motivated and self-directed • Ability to drive projects and priorities to completion • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred • Legal right to work in the United States • Verto Education is unable to sponsor visas for this role
