📋 Description

• Create 3D models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings in AutoDesk Inventor for steel sheet metal parts and structures • Design and detail large-scale mechanical assemblies for factory machinery and equipment • Collaborate with engineers to convert concepts into production-ready drawings • Ensure designs are accurate and manufacturable before release • Prepare and maintain bills of materials and drawing documentation • Coordinate with fabrication and shop teams to resolve production design questions • Maintain organized CAD files and revision records • Support design reviews and incorporate feedback from engineering, manufacturing, and clients • Deliver mechanical drawings and models meeting client time, budget, and manufacturability needs • Produce accurate, fabrication-ready drawing packages requiring minimal shop-floor rework • Complete large-scale assembly design and detailing from concept through release • Follow Very's engineering best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on AutoDesk Inventor experience • Steel sheet metal design experience • Large-scale assembly design experience for factories or machinery • Associate's degree or technical certificate in drafting, mechanical design, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience • 3–5 years of relevant experience as a CAD drafter or designer in a manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical design environment • Availability Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time • Must be located within the contiguous United States • Valid work authorization • Own computer/device, design software, and reliable internet connection • Ability to participate in client calls, internal meetings, and daily standups • Full-time availability, approximately 40 hours per week • 1099 independent contractor status
